Some Children Left Behind (S.C.L.B.)
While there is a lot of money to be made from compliance with No Child Left Behind (NCLB), by test & textbook manufacturers, and educational consultants, some children need to be left behind. We can't all be doctors or lawyers. Someone's got to mow our lawns, clean our houses, drive our cabs, work our fields, and teach our kids.
So while the premise of NCLB is wrong, the result of all that testing will be that the system will continue to insure that many children areleft behind, to do the jobs we need done. That's what competition is all about…that's what America is all about.
